We’re Hoping It Gets Loud – REALLY LOUD. In fact, we’re kind of demanding it.
If you’re looking for a nice, quiet, peaceful evening…perhaps a Columbus Blue Jackets (CBJ) game at Nationwide Arena might not be the ticket. But if, on the other hand, you want to see some great NHL hockey action – and yell yourself hoarse cheering on your local heroes – then in that case you’re in luck.
Horizons’ Lead Animator Bill Scholik has produced a new set of scoreboard graphics designed to raise the decibel level at Blue Jackets home games to previously un-“heard” of levels. The crowd-inspiring graphics are sponsored by IGS Energy, and feature the company’s iconic dirigible. And the graphics will appear simultaneously on every electronic scoreboard surface in the arena. So no matter which direction you happen to be looking…you will get the message. And in the event that you happen to have your eyes closed at that moment…you will undoubtedly HEAR the result.
So get ready to scream, holler, whistle, clap, stamp your feet – make as much noise as you can. The Jackets are counting on you, and they know you are up to the task. Thanks to Horizons, IGS and CBJ, the roof at Nationwide Arena might just get a little raised 41 times this season (plus a few more times for exhibition games, and hopefully a LOT more times for the 2016 playoffs!)
